Weekly Photo Challenge : Early Bird

Let’s get something straight, I’ve never been a morning person. Never! I just can’t wake up with the sun, leave alone waking before it. One has better chances ofย winning the lottery than waking me up before 8, at least. But then again, there have been some brutal and horrific moments when I have been made to wake up pretty early. And here’s an account of a few of them.. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I’m not a morning person too, the only reason I wake up early is to catch the sunrise on the beach. It’s the only thing that’s worthy of a 4 AM Alarm, if you ask me ๐Ÿ™‚

Great photos! Especially the one with the man doing yoga, the bokeh on the grass is cool!!

    • Hey same pinch then! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Agreed, even though I’ve never done that.. ๐Ÿ˜› But you know what else is worth a 4 AM alarm, exam day! ๐Ÿ˜›
Thank you! =) He saw me clicking him from a distance, then asked if I’d like him to pose for me! That was really insane! ๐Ÿ˜€

      • Oh yes, lol! Exam days toh you have to wake up, though there were times when I didn’t need alarm as I wouldn’t even have slept in the first place ๐Ÿ˜›

To be honest, I don’t feel very comfortable shooting strangers. But I guess I have to just dare and do that. I’d be very wary if someone was clicking me, that’s for sure. ๐Ÿ˜›

      • Wow! During the Boards exams I was like, the exam guide says I need to sleep for at least 7 hours, and my course books mocked at me like haha! you ain’t getting sleep tonight… ๐Ÿ˜›
Honestly, I feel scared asking people if I can take their picture… That is why I look for vantage points… *sigh* ๐Ÿ˜›

  2. Beautiful, beautiful morning shots! Well worth the wake up for. Like you, I am not a morning person at all. On the weekends when I don’t have work, no getting out of bed earlier than 10am for me ๐Ÿ˜€ What are those 4am snacks? They look very popular and everyone seems to want to eat them ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you so much! ๐Ÿ˜€
Hehe! Waking up sure is the most difficult task of the day! ๐Ÿ˜›
Oh that was basically a sweet shop. But here some sweet shops, mostly in the mornings and evenings, make salty snacks which go with tea. Here he’s selling samosas (stuffed potato in crispy-fried dough) and jalebis (a sweetish kind of snack). And they are like a very normal snack here… ๐Ÿ™‚

      • I absolutely love samosas. Once an Indian colleague brought homemade vegetarian samosas to work and they tasted so delicious! My Western colleagues complimented that they were not too spicy ๐Ÿ˜€ I’ve never tried jalebis. Maybe one day, it sounds delicious ๐Ÿ™‚

      • ๐Ÿ˜€ Somosas are truly tasty! Right now, the trend is samosas in different sizes. A few shops sell some which are as small as a strawberry whereas some sell samosas, as large as pocket sized dictionary! ๐Ÿ˜›
Oh! you should definitely try jalebis someday. ๐Ÿ™‚
